WE ARE negativs.

On September 8, 2017, photographers Jason Cortez and Mike Rose established their own creative collective called NEGATIVS. Their vision was bred out of the sheer urge to make a mark on the local DC photographer scene that has been lacking something different. They constantly challenged themselves to tackle different concepts on each project and were always inspired by current trends and themes that haven’t been showcased to a larger audience. Jason and Mike’s collective quickly expanded to involve other close creative friends who provided more collaborative ideas on several projects. For NEGATIVS, the results of our work weren’t the only aspect we strived towards. Honoring our creative process was just as important and was always treated with respect.

Our ultimate goal is to inspire others to find their own spark and honor their own creativity.
